The Frankfort Township Road District is responsible for many services in the township, ranging from bike path construction, to curb and sidewalk repair and including the mowing of parkways. The Road District clears and maintains 65 miles of roads in unincorporated areas.

October 2014, the Illinois Tollway will open the new all-electronic interchange connecting the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) and I-57 and the new ramp at 147th Street in Chicago Southland. All-electroinic ramps like those at the I-294/I-57 Interchange use I-PASS transponders to collect tolls. Customers without I-PASS can pay online.
