Meals on Wheels

Meals On Wheels Logo

Nutritional health is an important factor for remaining independent as we age. Meals on Wheels provides in-home delivery of hot meals five days a week. With support for good nutrition and healthy living, many older adults in our area are able to live safely and independently in their own homes.

How to get Meals on Wheels

If you or a loved one is in need of Meals on Wheels, you will first need to contact a case coordinator. If you have any questions about the process for getting meals on wheels, please contact Community Nutrition Network's main office at (312) 207-5290.

Home Delivered Meals

Our meals are designed to be nutritious and cater to the adult appetite. The menu is low in salt, calorie-controlled and individually portioned. Most importantly, each meal is nutritionally balanced and tasty. We also offer a diabetic dessert for appropriate clients.
A complete nutritional analysis is available for clients to discuss with their physician or dietitian.

The Nutrition Program is a donation based program. All participants are asked to make a donation towards the cost of the meal. No one will be denied services if they are unable or unwilling to make a donation.

Home Delivered Meal participants are sent a monthly donation reminder. The donation reminder indicates the amount of meals that were served and a total suggested donation. Cash and checks are gladly accepted.

Home Delivered Meals are delivered between the hours of 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.

Please remember to inform us if you will not be using the home delivered meals by calling 815-726-0094.

This will help us order an accurate number of meals, save the volunteer drivers a trip to your home, and prevent the CCU from trying to locate you!

If you have any questions or cocerns, please do not hesitate to contact Will County Senior Services at 815-740-4225.
