Lawrence Joseph Fleming
December 28th, 1962- October 16th, 2025
We mourn the passing of Lawrence Joseph Fleming, devoted Father of Ryan, Brendan, Lydia and Kevan Fleming. Loving brother to Mary (Charles Iverson) Fleming and Michael (Michelle) Fleming. Caring Uncle to Kaitlynn (Chris) Brewer, Autumn (Pam) Poplawski, Dillon Fleming, William Poplawski, Aidan Fleming and Liam Fleming. Supportive son of the late Lawrence Joseph Fleming and Arlene Carey. Also survived by a community of friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Lawrence (Larry) Fleming was born and raised on the southside of Chicago, living in Marquette Park, West Englewood, and Blue Island, IL. He was a graduate of St. Walters (‘77) and Marist High School (‘81). For 28 years, Larry was an extremely proud and hardworking member of Sprinkler Fitters Local 281. Larry was a kind and generous soul who gave his time to the Frankfort Township Food Pantry in his retirement. An open-minded & free-spirited man, he lit up every room he walked into. A lover of music, riding bikes, and riling up the dogs, Larry lived life loudly and with conviction. Throughout his life, Larry left an impact on the lives of all he met. He will be remembered most for the love and devotion he showed to his four children.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at Cork and Kerry (10614 S. Western Ave, Chicago, IL, 60655) from 3p-9p. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Frankfort Township Food Pantry or your local pantry, for information call (815)806-2761.
